Mimi has been living the vegan life style for last 40 years because she doesn't believe in the cruelty of animals and loves living a very healthy life which includes a vegan diet consisting mainly of live foods.Mimi didn't begin this lifestyle until her 30's but remarkably looks as though she has remained there. She has also stated in previous interviews that she feels as though she "has even gotten younger", which in Mimi's case is a wonderful thing, since her boyfriend is quite considerably "chronologically" younger. However, I would guesstimate that she definitely gives him a run for his money. Mimi contributes "lots of protein" to the absence of joint pain, especially when she first wakes in the morning. You can watch Mimi on YouTube such as this following link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TR8FyZ75l4. Mimi is also a brand new recognized author of "Live Raw: The Natural Way to Good Health and Timeless Beauty "
Mimi was also interviewed in the online publication of Eco Beauty Editor Posted on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 titled, "The New Face of Aging", In this article Mimi gave incredible advice on her minimalist view and regimen on beauty routine and products. I believe there are two quotes from this great article that in my opinion (if it's EVER possible) sums up Mimi Kirk. The first being, "As far as looks go, well, I’m not sure all the anti-aging products really can do anything for us. Love what you see in the mirror, appreciate your body as it changes and ages, thank it for all it does for you and you will soon see beauty in yourself regardless of what age you are." Mi Mi Kirk, the second, "We all make decisions from either love or fear, always choose love." Mi Mi Kirk.
I am including a snippet from Mimi's interview with Eco Beauty Editor. You may go to: http://www.ecobeautyeditor.com/2011/04/the-new-face-of-aging/ to view the entire article, which I highly recommend.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to live with youthful vibrancy, regardless of his or her age?
"Eat a raw, vegan diet. Stop eating meat, dairy and processed foods. Our bodies can’t process this kind of food. I believe it’s the main cause of disease. Laugh as much as you can. Give and receive love. Don’t hang on to anger and resentment. Forgive yourself and others. Life is too short to stress about anything. Let it all go and trust what comes your way. Look for the good every situation. Smile at yourself in the mirror."
1 Start with a green drink every day. A simple recipe would be apples, celery, cucumber, spinach, and kale leaves. Add a little ginger or lemon. Switch off and get creative, but make sure to include plenty of dark leafy greens.
2 Walk 30–40 minutes daily
3 Deep, deep breaths, at least 30 a day
4 Stretch, stretch, stretch
5 Rent funny movies
What does your beauty regime look like?
"I’m a bath person; I relax in a warm tub daily. When I get out I dry off, slather 100% organic coconut oil all over my body, and in every crevice. I use Dr. Woods Black Soap on my face and his Almond Soap with Shea Butter on my body. They are both liquid. I brush my teeth with Tooth Soap or Toothpaste that contains Neem. I brush my eyebrows down, curl my eyelashes, put some natural blush on my cheeks, a bit of natural lip color, a dash of mascara and off I go. People continually ask me what products I use so I’ve posted them on my website www.youngonrawfood.com they are in the “shop” section. I don’t personally sell these products, but you can order on my page as it goes through Amazon at check-out. I list them for convenience, and make it easy for people to purchase if they want."

Since making a change in lifestyles, habits or decisions can be incredibly difficult and so daunting, that in most cases rather than choosing to take baby steps, we take NO steps at all and continue in the same ill learned behaviors and misguided choices, I believe one of the major "loves" Mimi was speaking of "choosing" in the second quote is love of yourself, your body and love of animals. If our choices come from love, even in baby steps then we are sure to make a positive change. Life is not a sprint. Life is a marathon. We need to be able to go the distance. Unless we change our way of thinking, choices and actions our JOURNEY is sure to end way before our time.
